WebDec 12, 2024 · Video Review. 3.5 Stars out of 5. I've long hoped for The Thing From Another World to travel its way to Blu-ray and this 1.37:1 1080p transfer makes the journey in fine form. Sourced from a new 1080p HD master done this year, the image does have some small quibbles, but overall it's a dramatic improvement over the old DVD. WebWarner's DVD release of The Thing from Another World brings us a very good unrestored print of the uncut 87-minute version in its original full-screen aspect ratio. The transfer is sharp with fine definition and black-and-white contrast. Some dirt, scratches, and minor wear are visible throughout, but it's nothing serious.
